Doak is a founding member of the Stolz-Smith Financial Consulting Group of Stifel. Doak graduated from Bowling Green State University and then joined A.G. Edwards in Midland as the assistant to the manager in 1986. After completing his securities registrations, Doak began to build his investment and financial services business. He became securities licensed to supervise investment personnel in 1988 and shortly thereafter earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification. He holds Series 7, 9 & 10, 63, and 65 securities licenses.
After A.G. Edwards was acquired, Doak became a Managing Director of Investments for Wells Fargo Advisors before moving to Stifel. He is currently a Managing Director/Investments, as well as Branch Manager at Stifel.
He lives with his wife, Amy, and two of their four children, Dennis, Abigail, Scott, and Anna, in Midland. They are active in their parish, and Doak frequently serves on various boards and committees. He is also a member of Northeastern Michigan Estate Planning Council (NMEPC), and currently serves on the board of Physician Associates of Mid-Michigan Community Medical Foundation (PAMCMF). In his spare time, he enjoys pursuing his passion for hunting and fishing.

A founding member of the Stolz-Smith Financial Consulting Group, Scott began his investment industry career in 1989 and joined Stifel in 2020. Prior to Stifel, he worked for Wells Fargo Advisors, and its predecessor firm, A.G. Edwards.
Scott graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Pre-Law. Having attained and maintained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification since 1993, he has leveraged his knowledge and skills to build a practice using a customized planning process to suit the needs of individuals, families, and businesses. In addition to serving on the investment board for the Chippewa Nature Center, Scott is active in many other areas of the community.
Scott and his wife, Cassie, have triplet sons, Matthew, Christopher, and Jacob, and two daughters, Katie and Alexandra. They enjoy the great outdoors, and spending time with their family.

Ryan earned a degree in Finance from Saginaw Valley State University. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses and attained the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™ designation from the College for Financial Planning.
Ryan and his family live in Midland. They are active in their church and enjoy spending time outdoors. Ryan enjoys playing golf in the summer months and hunting in the fall.

Jacob began his investment industry career in 2016 and joined Stifel in 2020, joining his father, Scott Smith, who serves as a founding member of the Stolz-Smith Financial Consulting Group. He is proud to work for a team with a heritage of not only helping clients pursue their investment goals, but also one that holds client relationships as a top priority.
Jacob graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Finance. Upon graduation, he received the board of trustees’ scholarship award, given to students who have the highest possible GPA at the close of their last semester. He holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
Jacob enjoys volunteering for various charitable organizations in the Midland area. Both Midland natives, Jacob and his wife, Molly, have a daughter, Emma. They enjoy spending quality time together and exploring Michigan’s great outdoors.

Dennis graduated from Northwood University with a degree in Finance while also completing an 18-month internship with the Stolz-Smith Financial Consulting Group. Shortly after graduation, he attained Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and began to build his practice.
Dennis and his wife, Maggie, along with their dog, Stella, reside in Midland, where they have lived their entire lives. Dennis is active in his community, having served as a precinct delegate for Larkin Township. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and trapping. He is often competing in bass tournaments across the state until his focus shifts to deer and duck hunting in the fall.
